The construction materiales manufacturer AdePlast registered a 12 percent increase in the first half of the year, with a turnover of RON 216 million.

“The result is a very good one and it is in the forecasts of the beginning of the year. Here we considered a difficult beginning for the weather, but also a slowdown in the development of the residential segment and the segmentation of new constructions, induced by the evolution of money market interest rates. However, there was a consistent increase in the segment of non-residential construction and maintenance and repair. We focus on expanding the market, and with the new Isalniţa platform starting this month, we will be more present in the southern area, but also in the markets of Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, “says Daniel Stancescu, CEO of AdePlast.

The same volume of growth was also reported for exports. Thus, the company managed a 12 percent increase in foreign markets, reaching the value of RON 20 million, the largest volumes being made in the countries neighboring Romania. The company starts production this month on the industrial platform in Isalnita. At this moment the polystyrene factory on the platform is in technological evidence. Total investments in the platform will amount to RON 22 million.

From the point of view of the projections for the rest of the year, AdePlast expects a positive evolution, at least at the same rate as before, even though there are still many negative issues in the market that need to be adjusted.

“Despite the progress made in recent years, the Romanian market continues to be a volume, but we have hopes that it will become a quality and diversity, especially on the category of thermosystems, but also mechanized mortars, which can bring real added value to the activity on site, but also for final beneficiaries. Unfortunately, on the backdrop of the purchasing power still low, there is still a market of low quality products, manufactured and present more regional, with little innovation and imitation. Besides this, our country does not seem to realize that by 2020 we will have to implement the so-called 20/20/20 European Energy Efficiency Directives and we will wake up the last one hundred meters to avoid the infringement that we will rehabilitates buildings on conveyor belt, without attention to the quality of the materials and the execution of the works, “Stancescu states.

AdePlast is one the most important Romanian construction materials producer with four industrial platforms located in Oradea, Ploiesti, Roman and Isalnita.
