Supernova Pitesti continues the expansion process and inaugurates new spaces for relaxation starting November 29. The food court area and the opening of the playground inside the shopping center are part of the modernization strategy announced in April, part of a total investment estimated at 20 million euros.

As the first acquisition of the Austrian Supernova Group in our country, in November 2020, the shopping center of the same name in Pitesti continues to strengthen its position as one of the top shopping destinations in Argeș County and in the region by inaugurating the food court area. Thus, starting today, over 1000 square meters of the total leasable area will have the capacity to serve 170 customers indoors and almost 100 customers outdoors.

The first three tenants to offer their services are Spartan, Uncle John and Dolcesco Cake Shop, with others to join the portfolio in 2023. Complementing this area of interest, the shopping center also announces the much-awaited reopening of the playground, enhanced and modernized with various amusements, including katVr.

“Ever since we announced the new Supernova identity, implicitly the expansion of the commercial area and the modernization of the center, two of the most awaited facilities were the food court area and the playground. We are therefore delighted to announce that they are open to the public from today, just in time for the winter holiday season, when people are looking for the perfect gifts for their loved ones and spending more time with them. At the same time, we are looking forward to 2023, for which we are already in discussions with new operators both for the food court, but also to complete the fashion brands offer, so that we can continue to keep our promise to offer our customers a diverse experience, adapted to their wishes and current developments”, he said Frank Philipp Albert, founder and CEO of Supernova Group.

As a result of Supernova’s investments in the modernization of the shopping center, the number of customers and the level of sales in the last eight months exceeded the figures reported for 2019, the reference year to date. In addition to the new look of the center following the completion of the facade work, customers also enjoyed the renovation and relocation of some brands already in the portfolio, such as the Benvenuti store.

In addition, since April, the varied portfolio of Supernova Pitesti has been enriched with two new tenants, Decimas and Lensa. For the year 2023, the company aims to finalize the essential internal infrastructure works, as well as to continue the optimization of the spaces and those of the arrangement of green spaces.

These plans are part of Supernova’s policy targeting its entire real estate portfolio focused on retail properties in Romania. Therefore, by the end of 2023, all six shopping centers that Supernova acquired, at the end of last year, from the Louis Delhaize and Galimmo Groups in Bucharest, Constanța, Bacău and Drobeta Turnu Severin will have renovated and modernized spaces, following a total investment of up to 40 million euros.

To celebrate the opening of the food court area, Supernova Pitesti welcomes its customers with offers from all its partners, as follows: both Spartan and Uncle John will have 1+1 offers, while Cofetăria Dolcesco will have free candy bar for its customers. At the playground inside the shopping center, on November 30, children will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities and surprises, including the presence of a magician and face painting.
