The complex is built on 7,750 sqm. So far, its largest tenants include companies such as construction products distributor Piritex, furniture retailer Staer and IT&C retailer Altex. The center has parking space for 120 vehicles.
Recently, Cometex opened the Buzau-based Aurora Shopping Mall, a commercial center in which the company invested EUR 25 million, which includes the EUR 3.4 million cost of the land. The complex covers 2.3 hectares. The three-floor building totals 40,000 sqm, of which 25,000 sqm represents the shopping area, home to 50 stores.
Cometex started designing the mall in 2006 and began construction in 2007, with partial financing from Investkredit Vienna. The mall has rented spaces to retailers such
as Carrefour, with 6,500 sqm, and Altex, besides brands like Intersport, Takko, Deichmann, New Yorker, Drogerie Markt, Kenvelo,
book store Alexandria and City Pharma.
In the beginning of 2008, the developer announced it would invest EUR 42 million in four retail projects in Brasov, Timisoara, Arad and Buzau, the latter being the largest project it has developed so far.
