The valuation division was the biggest achiever, with a 160 percent increase in revenues. Now employing 12 people, it attributed the growth both to doubling its team and to contracts with companies such as Petrom, Immoeast, Erste and BRD. The contract with Immoeast covers valuation services for its entire portfolio in Romania and South East Europe.
The valuation division was followed by the industrial spaces rental and office space rental divisions. “Consultancy, residential sales and retail leasing have also posted good results and continued last year's growth trend,” said company reps.
Colliers International Romania employs 100 staff and hopes to double its team by the end of 2009, according to Bogdan Georgescu, managing partner of the firm.
The Romanian office of the consultancy firm is top among the other Colliers' offices in Eastern Europe, according to the company.
Last year, Colliers was estimating an increase of 30 percent in its turnover for the entire year, on the EUR 21.2 million posted in 2007. The firm is the top real estate consultancy firm active locally in terms of turnover.
