Romania is among the very few countries in Eastern Europe in which China has not financed an industrial park, according to Nicolae Vasile, vice-president of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who met with several Chinese companies while at an investment fair in China. The location of the future industrial park will be chosen following Chinese visits to Dambovita, Teleorman, Arges and Cluj.
The main obstacles Chinese companies have faced in Romania were the lack of support from Romanian representatives, the lack of collaboration in finding investment locations and obtaining visas for Chinese delegations. “The Chinese authorities have once again expressed their intention to pursue significant investments in Romania,” said Vasile.
