Trump submits to Senate nomination of Adrian Zuckerman as new US ambassador to Romania

US president Donald Trump has sent to the Senate the nomination of Adrian Zuckerman, of New Jersey, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Romania.

Zuckerman joins a list of other nine officials that were nominated for domestic or international roles, including new ambassadors to Montenegro and the Central African Republic.

Zuckerman, a New York attorney, was admitted to the New York bar in 1984, and is a partner in the international law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP. He immigrated to the United States from Romania at the age of 10 and is fluent in Romanian.  He received his undergraduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his law degree from New York Law School.

Since 2015, the US ambassador to Romania has been Hans Klemm.
