“This appointment is an honor for me, and I am grateful for the new opportunity for professional development. The team in Romania has achieved extraordinary results, and holding the Top Employer certification for the third consecutive year confirms that we already have the highest standards in terms of human resources policies locally. I am prepared to contribute my know-how and work alongside my new team to continue the existing successful projects and develop new initiatives to help each of our colleagues realize their potential. We want them to have a great working experience every day and create valuable connections with members of the local community, our customers, and consumers, on every occasion,” stated Roberto Follacchio.

Before joining Asahi Europe & International, Roberto spent 10 years in the British American Tobacco team, holding various roles first in Italy, then in Chile (HRBP Commercial), and later becoming the Talent & OE Manager for the Southern Cone Zone (Chile, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia). Among the significant projects he coordinated during his time at Birra Peroni, before joining the Ursus Breweries team, were the design and implementation of flexible work practices, as well as the coordination of employee support activities during the pandemic restrictions. Additionally, his recent responsibilities included coordinating projects focused on the organization’s commercial evolution, and in 2022, he focused on the digital transformation of the HR department.

Previously, the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Ursus Breweries was held for 5 years by Zuzana Balejová, who became the new Director of Human Resources for the Czech, Slovak, German, and Austrian cluster of Asahi Europe & International.
