Meda Annemarie Vasiliu appointed as General Manager for the Nordis Mamaia 5***** hotel

Nordis Group, a real estate company specialized in development of luxury hotels and residential complexes, continues the development for seaside projects and appoints Meda Annemarie Vasiliu as General Manager for the Nordis Mamaia 5 ***** hotel. It is part of a complex consisting of a residential complex and a 5 ***** hotel and is the most prestigious project of this type on the Romanian coast. The hotel will be open this year.

 

Meda Annemarie Vasiliu has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She has worked in international luxury hotels, such as the JW Marriott Hotel, and has spent the last two and a half years in Budapest at The Ritz-Carlton. There she worked as General Manager or Sales and Marketing Manager, while the hotel had a 180-degree change in marketing and sales strategy, opening to new markets and business segments and increased its turnover by more than 20%.

In her work for JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel she was also responsible for official and high-ranking delegations, such as the United States delegation at the NATO Summit, when she hosted President George W. Bush or the visit in Romania of the US Vice President, Mr. Biden.

Meda has joined the Nordis Mamaia 5 ***** team since the pre-opening period and will contribute to the formation and training of the team, development of operational, marketing and sales strategies for all hotel revenue centers. Also, the new General Manager will implement the policies and tactics that will lay the foundations of a memorable experience for customers who will choose Nordis Mamaia 5 *****, in an attempt to bring a new dimension of luxury in the field of hospitality in Romania.

Once the regional tourism will show the first signs of revival, my priority will be to open up to new international markets and turn the location into a luxury hub on the Romanian coast, both for Romanian customers and for European tourists,” said Meda Annemarie Vasiliu , General Manager Nordis Mamaia 5 *****.

The team led by the new General Manager will consist of over 250 core members, who will be active throughout the year, namely: heads of departments, managers, supervisors and non-managerial staff.

Meda Annemarie Vasiliu will be for Nordis Mamaia 5 ***** the connecting element between all hotel stakeholders, namely CEO, investors, customers and employees, and will ensure the fulfillment of hotel objectives, coordination of operational activities and financial indicators, from the first year operating.
