Mars appoints Arman Sutbayev as Market Director for Romania

Mars announces Arman Sutbayev as Market Director for Romania, a position he will take over starting August, 2020. Arman Sutbayev is replacing Geanina Băbiceanu, who accepted a new challenge as part of her career development within the company, being promoted General Manager of Royal Canin Italy.

Arman Sutbayev is joining Mars Romania from the position of Market Director East CEAB & Turkey Mars Wrigley Confectionary. In his new role, he will lead the biggest market from Multisales Central Europe unit, which besides Romania also includes Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Coordinating a team of over 200 Associates, as Mars calls its employees, he will be responsible for implementing the company’s business strategy on all segments – Gum, Chocolate, Petcare and Food. Arman Sutbayev is an experienced professional with over 16 years in sales and marketing. He joined Mars in 2014 as Kazakhstan Wrigley Sales Director, delivering Gum business turnaround and leading the strategic integration of Mars and Wrigley distributors, as the two businesses started merging in the region. In 2017, he was appointed to the role of Market Director for the east region of the Central Eurasia, Belarus and Turkey business unit. In this role, he was a member of the unit’s Leadership Team, being in charge of 10 markets, which showed consecutive growth for the last 3 years. Under his lead the Mars business in the strategic market of Uzbekistan had doubled, while the Belarus market performed to consecutive profitable double-digit growth.

Within the company Arman is well known for creating trustworthy and effective relations in the teams and for his passion to cultivate an environment where Associates can constantly develop their skills and grow.

Prior to Mars, Sutbayev spent 10 years in P&G, having diverse experience in Field Sales, National Accounts, Market Strategy & Planning and leading Category Teams.
