Deloitte Romania appoints Dragos Cruceru and Mihail Bucheru to directors in its Financial Advisory practice, effective September 1st, 2023.

Our financial advisory practice has grown significantly over the past years and the contribution of dedicated professionals such as Dragos and Mihai has been essential. The corporate finance team has been involved in diverse and high-profile projects, including some of the largest, most complex mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions in the market, while the forensic team is leading the market with expertise that delivers value and innovation not only for clients in Romania but also in other European countries. Congratulations to my colleagues for this welldeserved acknowledgment,” said Alexandru Reff, Country Managing Partner, Deloitte Romania, and Moldova.

Dragos Cruceru joined Deloitte Romania in 2010 and recently took over the leadership of the Corporate Finance team. He has 20 years of experience in providing corporate finance and project finance advisory services to private and public entities across various industries, including energy and resources, healthcare, financial services, construction, transportation, and consumer goods. Dragos successfully coordinated multiple sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions projects involving entrepreneurs, private companies, multinationals, private equities and government bodies. One of the recent transactions in which he has been involved is the acquisition of Twispay by Elrond Network.

Mihail Bucheru has been a member of Deloitte Romania’s Forensic department since 2018. He has more than ten years of experience in fraud investigation, eDiscovery and digital forensics, anti-bribery and anti-corruption and litigations, in industries such as power and utilities, oil and gas and automotive. He has delivered more than 50 forensic projects in Romania and in the Central Europe region while assisting clients in responding to crises, strengthening and protecting their organizations for reducing the overall risk of fraud and raising the awareness of the specific industry risks. Mihail is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has recently finalized an EMBA program with the University of Maastricht.
