The European Property Federation (EPF) Managing Committee elected Liviu Tudor, CEO of Genesis Property and president of the Romanian Association of Building Owners, as president of EPF. Tudor, who created organised Romanian real estate and brought it into EPF, takes over at a time of EU consolidation and expansion in South East Europe. Liviu Tudor succeeds John Frederiksen, recent past Chairman of the Danish Property Federation, to the EPF presidency.

“Romania is one of the countries in South East Europe with organised real estate. I have two connected priorities: first of all I want to support the role of property investors in creating an urban environment that attracts cutting edge European investment. And I shall support EPF in its work of securing EU regulation that fosters a dynamic property sector geared to the challenges of a mutating economy, climate warming and an aging population,” said Tudor.

“Liviu Tudor is well qualified to lead EPF’s effort to help consolidate and future-proof the EU Internal Market for Real Estate. Beyond his personal qualities and superb track record, Liviu Tudor’s election is a recognition of the increasing European and international attractiveness of Romanian property markets,” said Frederiksen

Tudor is one of the leading owners of rental office space in Romania. He runs Genesis Property, an investment and development company owning two class A office parks in Bucharest: West Gate and Novo Park, the headquarters for many multinational companies.  He is president of the Romanian Association of Building Owners, reuniting the leading local and international property investors operating in Romania.

EPF represents all aspects of property ownership and investment: residential landlords, housing companies, commercial property investment and development companies, shopping centres and the property interests of the institutional investors (banks, insurance companies, pension funds). It advises all the EU Institutions in their real estate policy-making.
