The development of Openville, the mixed-use project that integrates Iulius Mall, draws new brands to Timişoara. One of these stores is BUZZ, a brand addressed to sneaker fans and the so-called “sneakerheads”. This autumn, BUZZ is opening its first store in the west of Romania in Iulius Mall Timişoara, concurrently with the grand opening of Sport Vision, its umbrella brand. The two stores will have a total area of 300 sqm and they will complete the sports brand mix in the mall.

BUZZ Sneaker Station promotes urban culture and is the primary destination for sneaker fans. Here they will be able to find an extensive range of footwear models – some even in limited editions – from the most popular brands, such as Nike, Jordan, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, Converse, and New Era.

BUZZ has 7 stores in Romania, namely in Bucharest (where the brand also operates an outlet-type store), Cluj-Napoca and Galaţi.

The largest business, retail and entertainment hub in the west of Romania

Upon completion of the first phase of development of the Openville mixed-use project, the people of Timișoara will be able to enjoy new concepts of shopping and entertainment introduced for the first time in this region. Developed in the vicinity of Iulius Mall Timișoara, Openville will offer more than 100 new stores, a new cinema concept and a variety of leisure destinations, event halls, as well as restaurants and themed cafés with a panoramic view overlooking the largest suspended park in the country.

The works for the retail component started in December 2017 and entail an additional area comprising 47,000 sqm, representing the expansion of Iulius Mall Timișoara, and the fit-out of additional retail premises at the ground floor of the office buildings and in the project’s park area. Per total, the leasable retail area will add up to 118,000 sqm.

The first phase of development of the largest mixed-use project in the west of Romania will include: 50,000 sqm of class A office premises in operation (three buildings) and another 52,000 sqm pending development (one building), a park, a traffic underpass and 4,068 parking spaces.

The Openville mixed-use project is developed by the IULIUS and Atterbury Europe companies, adding up to an estimated investment of more than € 220 million.
