THIS FALL, THE FIRST MODERN SHOPPING CENTER IN ROMANIA CELEBRATES TWO DECADES OF ACTIVITY. BUCUREȘTI MALL – VITAN IS NOW MORE THAN A COMMERCIAL DESTINATION – IT HAS ACHIEVED THE STATUS OF AN URBAN LANDMARK THAT IS ALL ABOUT FASHION, EXCLUSIVE BRANDS, AND INNOVATION.
Twenty years ago, București Mall – Vitan greeted its first visitors and began to change their urban experience for the better. It offered them a wide array of international brands in a very modern location, different from everything they have seen before. It was a success story that attracted the inhabitants of Bucharest, as well as customers from the entire country.

Two decades since its inauguration, we add another premiere to our track record: București Mall – Vitan is the first in retail to award a lucky customer an electric car”, stated Affan Yildirim, General Manager and Board Member of Anchor Grup. Nowadays, București Mall – Vitan has a gross leasable area of 40,000 square meters and an occupancy rate of 99%. Among the distinctive tenants of the shopping center is MANGO anchor store (with a surface of 1350 square meters), one of the few stores in Romania where you can find collections for women, men, and kids, from new-born to 14 years old. Moreover, the Douglas store opened in București Mall – Vitan offers over 10.000 products, including premieres on the Romanian market in terms of makeup and perfumes.
One of the latest additions to the tenant mix is TOPSHOP l TOPMAN (which opened its first Romanian store here). The British retailer, famous for selling a pair of jeans every 10 seconds, chose București Mall – Vitan as the starting point for its expansion in Romania. The first TOPSHOP l TOPMAN inaugurated locally occupies a surface of 1000 square meters. Fans of this brand can find in the shopping center comprehensive collections in terms of fashion and accessories from Mainline, Boutique, and Denim, as well as TOPMAN Mainline, Denim, and Formal. The store also offers a free Personal Shopping and Styling service. Clients benefit from the advice of a personal fashion consultant and exclusive access to the latest articles of clothing.
Another distinctive feature of București Mall – Vitan is its unique initiative in retail: Designers Boutique, which was available to the customers of the shopping center beginning with April 2018. A retail unit located at the ground floor was remodeled and offered to Romanian fashion creators. The first one to benefit from this initiative was also the first local designer to be featured in the Paris Fashion Week: Venera Arapu. Since then, in almost one year and a half since it was opened, more than 25 Romanian designers displayed and sold their creations in this original pop-up store, among which were Kinga Varga, Izabela Măndoiu, Framboise, Anna Fellini, Papucei, Bon Bijou, Pineberry, Laura Olaru, Anamaria Pop, Muna, AnTanTe, Happy Friday, Larisa Dragna and THAÏS & STRÖE, Dana Rogoz, Lisa & Co, Sweet Paprika, Maison Mimino, NAIV Clothing, Noire Swimwear, Miss Mary a little, and MOOGU.
Designers Boutique @ București Mall – Vitan also provided consultancy to fashion creators who, for instance, only had an online presence, and had not met before the challenges of a brick and mortar store. The project was so successful that it brought a new exclusive brand to the portfolio: after being part of Designers Boutique @ București Mall – Vitan, the family business Pineberry opened its first offline store in the shopping center.
Among București Mall – Vitan’s exclusive brands is Resto Aperto, which distinguishes by its innovative approach of Italian cuisine. The restaurant, located on the ground floor of the mall and endowed with a cozy terrace, stands out because of its diverse menu, which includes a wide variety of pasta, pizza, fish, steaks, desserts, gelato, to which are added the delicious house cocktails. Five cooking areas, each with its own specific inside the restaurant allow the food enthusiasts to enjoy a complete dining experience because they can see how each dish is prepared by professional chefs specialized in the respective field. The restaurant occupies a 900 square meter area, has a capacity of 270 seats, and a growing number of customers. With such an exclusive portfolio, original CSR projects that were rewarded with international awards, and a focus on innovation, București Mall – Vitan is committed to continuing to surprise its customers in the long run.
