Yellow Menu posts EUR 500,000 turnover in first year since launch

Yellow Menu, a premium food delivery service offering a la carte menus from international cuisines, has posted an EUR 500,000 turnover in its first year of activity. Next, the company is planning to introduce subscriptions and to offer dinner options.

Created with an EUR 300,000 investment, in its first year, Yellow Menu made over 32,000 deliveries and offered over 1,200 dishes to its 5,000 active users. The service is available four hours/day and is available in selected areas of the capital.

Users can placean order using the app (iOS and Android) or via the company website. „Over 50 percent of orders were placed via iOS and Android apps. We aimed to offer a premium service and we managed, the strongest proof being the users’ return rate,” Yellow Menu General Manager Florin Stoian said. Lunch order placed had an average value of RON 80, Stoian added.

In 2017 the company aims to reach a turnover of EUR 1,000,000 on the back of new product launches, such as subscriptions and dinner options, starting this month. Recently, the company launched an offer designed for corporate clients and has announced plans to expand in other major cities în Romania. The company employs 35 staff.
