Wiener Privatklinik (WPK) from Vienna, a private hospital from Austria than ensures the treatment against cancer- immune therapy, has launched this month an office in Romania, in the first district of Bucharest, where patients and Romanian medical partners can get medical information directly from the representatives of the medical center.
The head of the hospital has decided to open the agency as Romanian patients represent approximately 20 percent of the total foreign patients and their number grew in the first half of this year by 40 percent compared with the same period of the last year, reaching 300 patients. The main disease for which Romanians choose the medical services of WPK are orthopedics and traumatology.
„By setting up the local agency we want to consolidate the relation with the patients and Romanian medical partners and facilitate them the access to treatments and investigations in our hospitals. It will offer an easy communication point between the patients from Romania and the hospital from Vienna and will offer patients the available treatments at WPK and will recommend an appropriate specialist doctor to take over their case. We’ll also monitor better the post-operating recovery of patients once they come back in the country,” said the primary doctor Walter EBM, CEO of WPK.
The hospital owns nine centers, offering the patients a diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of medical specialties.
The WPK Oncology center has specialists from Vienna and offers customized treatments against cancer based on the genetic analysis of cancer tumor.
Through the partnerships with several airline companies and accommodation units from Vienna, the hospital offers the Romanian patients the possibility to modify the departure-arrival data of the flights without additional costs.
