What to do in Bucharest this weekend?

The weather is not so cold anymore, but there are interesting indoor events scheduled for the next days! Here are our suggestions!

If you’re up for a concert, at Arenele Romane on Friday, the Bosquito band will hold a concert named „Don’t tell what we did last evening”,starting 8:00 PM. The special guests of Bosquito are Adrian Despot (Vita de Vie), DJ Hefe (COMA), while Kempes and Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica will join Roman Iagupov from Zdob si Zdub and Mircea Baniciu. The band was founded by Radu Almasan in Brasov, at the beginning of 2000 and sang a fusion of latin rock and a range influence of gypsy Balkan music.

Sticking to concerts, The New Year’s Eve of Artists 2017 will take place at Beraria H, on January 14, starting 7:30 PM. As every year in January, many bands and artists want to be close to their fans and friends with whom they couldn’t celebrate the New Year’s Eve. You will be able to listen to Mike Godoroja & Blue Spirit, Krypton Unplugged (Eugen Krypton, Gabi Nicolau & Dragos Docan), Teo Boar & Vladi Cnejevici, SuperChill, Haiducii band, The Groovy Bastards, Barock group, Conexiuni, Jul Baldovin, Marina Florea, Aurel Moga, Ileana Sipoteanu, Marina Scupra, Saveta Bogdan, Marian Filip, Petrescu Marcian, Marius Dobra’s Band, Anastasia Suru, Maria Gheorghiu and Radu Gratianu.

Also, there are several movie premieres, such as Débarquement immédiat!, whose director is Philippe de Chauveron. The movie will star Ary Abittan, Medi Sadoun. It’s the story of a cop from Border Control who must escort a guy back to his country, except it’s not the right guy and it’s not the right country. Another movie premiere is Jackie, starring Peter Sarsgaard, Natalie Portman, John Hurt, John Carroll Lynch. Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy fights through grief and trauma to regain her faith, console her children, and define her husband’s historic legacy. Live by Night is the thirs premiere, directed by Ben Affleck and starring Zoe Saldana, Scott Eastwood and Ben Affleck. The story is set in the Prohibition Era and centered around a group of individuals and their dealings in the world of organized crime.

People who are into games and socializing can enjoy Funshop – Evening with board games and fun at Journey Pub, on January 13, starting 8:00 PM, at Journey Pub. The minimum number of participants is 10 and the maximum number is 24.
