What to do in Bucharest this weekend?

Newsroom 20/10/2016 | 16:00

The autumn continues with interesting indoor events. Here are some of our recommendations.

Beware, chocolate lovers! The Festival du Chocolat will take place this weekend (October 21-23) at Romexpo and it’s at the first edition. It gathers local producers of chocolate and franchisers of big chocolateries. The festival aims to create a chocolate culture in Romania. During three days visitors can taste the wide range of chocolate, including raw vegan.

Plaza Romania Mall’s parking lot also will host a Festival, the Chestnuts Festival during October 21-30. The chestnuts will be cooked by knwon chefs (Chef Scarlatescu, Chef Gabriel Toader) and there will be creative workshops for children.

ARTea Tea House will host on October 23 a jazz concert with Brasilian songs, indie and pop-rock sang by Alma-Nicolae.

Theatre lovers can enjoy the Magic National Concert–Show at the Bucharest National Theatre, where there will be laughs, songs and dances in a theatrical show with a retro air, but on modern rhythms. There will be Edith Piaf songs, performed by Anca Sigartau, while Tania Popa will have fragments from the Russian repertoire and the air of inter-war Bucharest shall echo from the romances sang by Aylin Cadar. The host and director of the evening is Ion Caramitru.

Board games lovers can attend The Board Games Decathlon on October 22 from 12 PM, organized by HOSPICE Hope House. It will take place at the pub Have a Cigar and during 10 hours the participants will play 10 of the most popular board games: Catan, Dixit, Activity, Saboteur, Jenga, Game of Thrones – Card Game, Carcassonne, HAC Loveletter, Qwirkle, Cards Against Humanity. All the raised funds will be used for the development of the social-medical centre HOSPICE from Adunatii Copaceni.
