The end of September brings events specific to the autumn season. Here is our selection!

Bucharest Jazz Festival will take place this year also, in Piata Enescu until September 25, from 17:00. Besides the five evenings of jazz concerts, where national and international artists will be present, there will be launch events and exhibitions. The festival is organized by ARCUB- The Cultural Centre of Bucharest Municipality. The new artistic director of the festival is the jazz singer Teodora Enache.

Another festival in Bucharest will be Opera Fringe Festival, until September 25 from 19:00. The festival aims to encourage the young artists and the public to choose a new alternative. The necessity of the project came from the fact that annually over 150 young people finish the Conservatory and the Opera houses have rarely vacancies for them. Therefore, the festival brings the concept of independent opera.

For pies lovers the Pies Festival in IOR Park is the place to go. It will take place from Friday September 23 starting 11:00 until September 25. The festival is at the first edition and aims to bring traditional pies from different parts of Romania. You will be able to find pies from Bucovina, Turnu, Arges, Apuseni, Dobrogea, Banat, Muntenia and others with different fillings: meat, cheese, dill, pumpkin, cabbage or jam. There will also be other traditional products, such as mici, skewer, steaks, sarmale and Romanian doughnuts, as well as Romanian wines.

Also, IMapp Bucharest, the 3D video multimedia mapping show will take place this weekend. On Saturday starting 17:00 in Piata Constitutiei, the Bucharest Mayor Office will organize through creart- The Center of Creation, Art and Tradition the third edition of the event. IMapp is an event with projections of six artists on the House of Parliament. There will be 104 projectors for an area of over 20,000 sqm. The creative concept of this edition is “Dialogues”.
