Roof maker Wetterbest is expecting a 20 percent increase in turnover this year, following positive results registered during the first four months, according to a statement by the group. Between January and April 2016 the turnover increased by 36 percent year on year, reaching about RON 30 million.

The positive results were influenced by all three companies in the group: Depaco (manufacturer of metal roofing, sheeting and drainage systems), Polnebo (importer of films, membranes, screws and dormers) and Cortina (manufacturer and distributor).

For the end of the year, company representatives see a 20 percent increase in overall turnover and a consolidated profit of RON 8 million. The increase will be supported by a rise in number of employees (from 200 to 240) and an expansion of the product portfolio.

In terms of investment, Wetterbest has allocated about EUR 2 million by year end, mainly for five new automatic lines for metal tiles, borders and accessories for drainage, storage and lifting equipment and next generation transport means. EUR 70,000 were allocated for the Warehouse Management System (WMS), used for the organizing of stock, orders and deliveries.

Wetterbest has one of the largest production capacities of metal roofing and accessories in Romania through its two factories in Baicoi (Prahova county) and Podari (Dolj county).
