Volume of construction works in Romania down 4.1 percent in the first three quarters of the year

In the first three quarters of the year the volume of construction works, as gross series, decreased by 4.1 percent, a drop reflected in the works new constructions (-8.2 percent) compared with the same period of the last year. Increases in maintenance and repair (+ 5.9 percent) and in capital repairs (+ 4.7 percent).

On construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased by 27.4 percent in residential buildings and in buildings non-residential by 0.8 percent. Growth was seen in engineering (+ 8.5 percent).

As series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works a decreased by 2.2 percent overall. On structural elements there was a decrease in new construction works by 5.4 percent. Increases were recorded in maintenance and repair work by 5.5 percent and in capital repair work by 4.9 percent.

On construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased by 26.1 percent in residential buildings. Increases were registered in engineering and non-residential buildings by 11 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively.

September 2018 versus August 2018

The volume of construction works increased as gross series in September by 8 percent, an increase reflected in the repair works capital expenditures by 15.2 percent, maintenance and repair works by 10.2 percent and new construction works by 6.1 percent.

On construction objects we have seen increases in residential buildings by 19.1 percent and in non-residential buildings by 17.8 percent. A decrease was registered in engineering construction, by 0.4 percent.

As series adjusted by the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works a increased by a total of 0.8 percent, with a rise registered in the capital repair works (+ 9.2 percent) and in the construction works we (+ 1.2 percent). The decrease was seen in maintenance and repair works, by 1.9 percent.

The volume of construction works as gross series decreased by 2.1 percent, a decrease reflected in new construction by 9.5 percent. Increases were recorded in the capital repair works by 23.3 percent and in the works maintenance and repairs by 11.5 percent. On construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased to residential buildings by 9.7 percent and non-residential buildings by 4.9 percent. Growth was recorded in construction engineers by 3.3 percent.

As series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works a decreased by 0.4 percent, a decrease reflected in new construction works by 6.9 percent. There have been increases in the works capital repairs (+ 24.8 percent) and current maintenance and repairs (+ 9.9 percent).

On construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased by 9.1 percent in residential buildings and in buildings non-residential by 2.6 percent. Growth was seen for construction engineering, by 7 percent.
