Vodafone Romania has a new CTO

Giovanni Chiarelli, 45, will be joining Vodafone Romania as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) starting July 1st.

Chiarelli joined Vodafone Group during 2010, as program delivery director, where he led the roll out of global capabilities in online and IT, while establishing new centers of excellence in retail and integration technologies.

Prior to Vodafone, he was the chief information officer at Telecom Italy after a ten years career.

Chiarelli has a degree in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan-Italy. He is married with 3 children. His hobbies are football and tennis, collecting antiques as well as reading.
