Vitantis Shopping Center gets evacuated after ceiling collapses

Vitantis Shopping Center was evacuated this Thursday after a 500 sqm area of the ceiling collapsed. No victims were reported but local authorities said that the outcome could have been tragic, had the accident occurred during the weekend, relates Mediafax newswire. The shopping center was later closed and authorities are now investigating the accident.

In an official statement, Vitantis Shopping Center representatives said that the accident was a minor one and it happened in area that was closed to the public at that time. Representatives added that Vitantis is entirely insured.
