The developer of Veranda mall, Prodplast Imobiliare, will invest EUR 2 million for an infrastructure project in Obor area, where the shopping center is constructed.

The company will fund the upgrade of the Ziduri Mosi street, with an additional traffic line in each way, and also the modernization the tram station 36.

Prodplast Imobiliare has released 2,000 sqm worth of land for the infrastructure development, while Piata Obor will also release 920 sqm for the expansion of the road.

“We are building new roads to offer a new modern shopping and leisure experience for over 430,000 inhabitants in Obor area. (…) Within  a five minute walking distance there are 16 public transport lines and the subway station Obor, which is just 400 meters away. We are building 1,200 parking spaces for the visitors of the shopping area, thus decongesting traffic in an area that is overcrowded at this moment,” said Andrei Pogonaru, the developer of Veranda.

The infrastructure works will be finished by the fourth quarter of this year, just in time for the opening of the shopping center.

At present, 60 percent of Veranda’s construction has been finalized. The center will have a total surface of 30,000 sqm, half of which will be a green area. The total investment in Veranda amounts to EUR 60 million.
