According to Romanian Ambassador to the United States George Maior, a visit to Washington by PM Mihai Tudose is very likely. Maior made the announcement on Tuesday, at the Annual Reunion of Romanian Diplomacy.
“It will be a very interesting autumn. I am working intensely on a visit by prime minster Tudose to the United States, in September the Ministry of Defense is also coming, we hope that the presidents of the two Chambers will also have meetings with their counterparts, and preparations for the biggest economic mission are under way,” Maior said.
“I am convinced that this autumn we will have a visit by the PM to the United States, which will materialise the strategic aspect of the president’s visit in operational terms, at economic level, and that of communication with the members of the American administration,” the Romanian ambassador explained.
According to Maior, the relation between Romania and the US are at their peak. Moreover, the Romanian diplomat said the visas file is present on the agenda of talks with the US partners. “The attitude is favourable towards Romania,” he said.
Romanian president Klaus Iohannis visited the US in June.
