 Radiocom lays off 450

State company Radiocom (National Society of Radio-communications) is in full restructuration process. By the end of the year, 450 employees will be made redundant, announced the Minister of Communications Valerian Vreme.

Radiocom posted a growth in the volume of sales in the first five months of this year compared to 2010. However, in order to make the company more efficient, expenses related to personnel, transport as well as bonuses will be reduced.

One of the main targets of Radiocom is to increase the quality of broadcasting services in order to allow the radio and TV broadcasting in digital T-DAB (Terrestrial Digital Audio Broadcasting) format and DVB-T (Terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting) format.
