UniCredit Leasing’s net profit up by 33 pct to EUR 3.7 mln in Q1

UniCredit Leasing continued developing its activity on all the business lines, so that its net profit went up by 33 pct to EUR 3.7 million in the first semester of the year, compared with the same period of 2015.

 The acquisition value of the goods financed in the first semester of the year was EUR 218 million, including the operational leasing volume of UniCredit Leasing Fleet Management, which was EUR 25 million, a growth of 35 percent compared with the same period of the last year.

The value of the new finance given by UniCredit Leasing Corporation in the first semester of the year was EUR 161.8 million, a growth of 34 percent compared with the first semester of 2015.

„The results obtained in the first semester of the year indicate a solid position that UniCredit Leasing has on the market and at the same time, they are an indicator regarding the business environment in Romania. The leasing is a barometre of the economy evolution, because we are close to those who invest, so we are in the upstream of the economic cycles. What Unicredit Leasing brings in addition is the valued of a diversified products portfolio, ” says Mircea Cotiga, CEO of UniCredit Leasing Corporation IFN SA.   

 Based on new transactions closed until June 30, the UniCredit Leasing portfolio grew by 13.8 percent compared with June 30,2015, reaching EUR 819 million at the end of the first semester.

The company registered gains in the financing of cars segment in the first semester of the year, 41 percent compared with the first semester of the last year, as well as on heavy cars segment- trucks and semi-trailers, with 20 percent compared with the first semester of the last year. The industrial equipments own 56 percent of the total value, followed by agricultural equipments and medical equipments, with 19, respectively 13 percent.
