Unemployment rate inches down by 0.04 percent in August against the previous month

The unemployment rate reached 7.39 in August compared to 7.43 the previous month, according to data from the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM). There were 675,790 unemployed people in August according to official data, 289,490 out of which were women.

The highest unemployment was registered in Gorj (10.89 percent), Covasna (11.19 percent), Vaslui (11.64 percent), Teleorman (11.86 percent) and Mehedinti county (12.31 percent).
