Among the topics discussed by the minister Tudorel Toader and the ambassador of UK at Bucharest, Paul Brummell, were the changes of the Romanian justice laws, the human traffic and the collaboration between UK and Romania.
„We discussed about the collaboration between UK and Romania in the justice field. We have a tight collaboration (…) We discussed about the changes in the Romanian legal system. I underlined that Romania has to decide the Parliament procedures according to the Constitution. I underlined that we appreciate what Romania did in the corruption fight. Romania has institutions that work in a good manner. The changes of justice laws have to be discussed with all the parties and adapted to Romania’s needs,” said Brummell. He added that the British support the activity of Romania’s anti-graft agency DNA.
Earlier this week, minister Toader also met with the US ambassador Hans Klemm to discuss about the planned changes to the judiciary.
