Uber users can test the Samsung Gear VR devices in Bucharest

People using the Uber app in Bucharest will be able to test the Samsung Gear VR devices, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge phones, between July 18 and 22.

The users that order an UberX during the week have can test the virtual reality Gear VR device during their trip, in one of the 10 Uber cars equipped with the Samsung technology. By using the code UberGearVR, the new Uber users can benefit from a free ride worth RON 25, once they created a new Uber account.

„Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have been adopted very fast by our users and through their connection with the Samsung Gear VR device they are having an even more captivating experience. We are glad to offer them and their Uber users this experience now, that can test the virtual reality when they are on the road towards a meeting or the job, in order to value more the time spent on traffic,” said Alexandru Costache, head of product Management Telecom Division, Samsung Electronics Romania.
