Romania’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 2.39 billion in the first four months of 2011, from EUR2.93 billion in the same period of 2010, the National Statistics Institute announced on Thursday.
In April, exports (FOB) amounted to EUR 3.3 billion, 16.7 percent more against April 2010, while imports (CIF) increased by13.1 percent, to EUR 17.5 billion. Comparing the data from April with the previous month, exports went down by 17.2 percent while imports decreased by 13.7.
