Tornado Technology, a distributor of network equipment and security software founded last year, is estimated to post a turnover of EUR 12 million by the end of 2012.
Approximately 60-70 percent if these revenues will come from network equipment sale and the rest from IT security solutions.
Tornado Technology was founded by Eugen Lepadatu, who used to be the co-founder of Tornado Sistems. In December 2010, Lepadatu sold his part of the shares in Tornado Sistems to RHS and then put the basis of Tornado Technology.
“The local networking market is dominated by Cisco. There are few companies who also know other equipment. The market of IT security solutions is made up mostly by the anti-virus solutions. We had the idea to create a new company that promotes networking equipment of other suppliers that are as good as Cisco, but cheaper, and also a ramge of IT security solutions,” said Lepadatu.
