Three in five employees think they can get a better job in less then three months, says eJobs

Three in five employees in Romania (almost 62 percent) think they can get a better job in less then three months, if they decide to make a change in their careers, according to a study of eJobs, the online recruiting platform. At the same time, 55 percent said that they constantly update their CV to increase their chances of getting the ideal job.

Furthermore, 22.9 percent of the employees who attended the eJobs survey say that they are optimistic on their professional perspectives, considering they can change their job in less than a month and 38.6 percent say the period to get a new job would be between one and three months, while 19.8 percent think that this process might take between three and six month. In contrast, 18.7 percent of participants think this change might take over six months.

Taking into account that many companies headhunt people, 55 percent of participants of eJobs study said they update constantly their CV with their last skills and professional results in the case a company would look on their profile.

At the same time, 25.4 percent of the respondents update their CV only when they are actively lo0king for a new job and 18.3 percent adapt their CV according to their job they apply for.

Moreover, 88 percent of the respondents say they use the recruitment platforms when they search for a job, while the companies’ sites are the second mentioned source. Among the most popular used sources to get a job are recommendations (35.5 percent), job fairs (19.8 percent) and the social groups (16.8 percent).

Most of the Romanian employees that attended the study believe it’s important for a job description to comprise the responsibilities, the career level and availability period (80 percent), to be attractive and specific to the company’s brand (65.5 percent), but also to include information on the benefits (58 percent).
