The National Orchestra Radio celebrates the National Day of Romania this Friday with a concert at Sala Radio. The Romanian Rhapsody no.1 by George Enescu will be played in the program’ opening and the guests are two known Romanian musicians, the conductor Vlad Conta (photo) and the piano player Viniciu Moroianu. They will also play the Concert in la minor for piano and orchestra op.54 by R. Schumann and the Symphony no. 7 in la minor op. 92, by L. van Beethoven. Conta has been the main conductor of the Bucharest National Opera since 2001 and has a wide repertory of opera and ballet, but also in symphonic area, and collaborated as guest conductor with orchestras from Europe and USA.
With almost 1,000 concert shows and recitals in Romania and abroad, the piano player Viniciu Moroianu has numerous awards and he is a teacher on the Piano Chair of the National University of Music in Bucharest.
