This weekend in Bucharest: Messa da Requiem

With the occasion of the Easter Holidays, The Bucharest National Opera will hold the event Messa da Requiem by Giuseppe Verdion Thursday from 6:30 PM. The Messa da Requiem is a musical setting of the Roman Catholic funeral mass (Requiem) in the memory of the maestro Stealian Olariu. The leader of the show will be Marcello Mottadelli and the choir leader will be Daniel Jinga. The main theme of the piece is death.

The requiem is a piece of vocal-symphonic work for four soloists, choir and orchestra. The special guests of the event will be the soprano Sorina Munteanu and mezzosoprano Maria Jinga, together with the tenor Marius Budoiu and the bass Ramaz Chikviladze from Georgia.

The choir and the orchestra will be part of the Bucharest National Opera.
