This weekend in Bucharest: Live South American music – Cuentos del Barrio concert

On Sunday, March 4, you can enjoy a live South-American music concert at Joie de Vivre: Cuentos del Barrio. The word “barrio” describes the marginal areas of cities in Latin America, where most of the traditional music genres in the areas were born, out of the people’s wish to “shout out” their happiness, nostalgia, sadness, love, and other feelings. They started as stories, and artists chose to turn them into music in order to take them further. Language is not a barrier, because these stories can be felt.
