The “Compagnie du Petit Monsieur” theatre company will present their  show “Deux Secondes” as part  of the 5th edition of the International Theatre Festival for Children and Families “Teatru, Strada si Copil”.

Organised by the French Embassy in Romania and the French Institute, in collaboration with Tandarica Theatre, this show will premiere on Saturday, June 25 2016 from 11:00 at the Henri Coanda International Airport.

The show focuses on the relationship between the contemporary man and everyday objects, like a suitcase or a tent, comically illustrated by Paul Durand (played by the actor Ivan Chary). In true Chaplin-style, the show plays with ordinary circumstances and transforms them into a burlesque situation, emphasized by mime and acrobatics.

The “Compagnie du Petit Monsieur” will come on tour to Romania between June 25 and June 30 2016, in Bucharest and Buzau. After the premiere at the Henri Coanda International Airport, the theatre company will move to Buzau on June 26, where it will present the show at the French Cultural Centre at 11:00. The following day, Armandine Barillon, the director and writer of “Deux Secondes” will hold a contemporary pantomime workshop for professional actors at the Tandarica Theatre in Bucharest, between  10:00 and 18:00.

The show will also be staged during the “Teatru, Strada si Copil” in Herastrau Park on June 28, Sebastian Park on June 29 and “Lumea Copiilor” Park on June 30, at 11:00 and 19:00.

The International Theatre Festival “Teatru, Strada si Copil” is part of the “Tandarica pentru toti” project, whose target is to encourage more people to see theatre plays and to make the access to those easier.
