The president of Germany, Joachim Gauck, and the first lady, Daniela Schadt, will make a state visit in Romania during June 20-22, according to the German Embassy.
The visit focuses on the bilateral relations between Germany and Romania. During his visit in Bucharest, Gauck will have political discussions with the president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, and with the prime-minister, Dacian Ciolos. Also, he will hold the speech “Europe: passion for rationality.”
The event will take place at the National Library of Romania having the invitation from the „New Europe College“ and the German Embassy and it will be moderated by philosopher Andrei Plesu.
Moreover, on June 21, Gauck will be at Sibiu, where he will visit, together with Iohannis, the entrenched church from Cisnadie. This visit contributes to the cultural legacy preservation of German minority from Romania.
