The Netherlands-Romanian Chamber of Commerce has a new board of directors

The members of The Netherlands-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (NRCC) have elected a new board of directors, which in turn appointed Peter de Ruiter (pictured), Partner, Tax and Legal Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers, as the new NRCC President.

The other board members are Robin Martens (Archicom) NRCC Vice-President, Monica Spiteri (TMF Romania) NRCC Treasurer, Mihaela Bitu ( ING Bank), Pieter Commandeur (Fokker Engineering), Isfahan Doekhie (Management Services Bliss), Frans van der Ent, (Eureko), Jan Glas (TPA Horwath) and Pieter Wessel (Deloitte).

Peter de Ruiter graduated as Fiscal Lawyer from the University of Leiden, and started his career as tax advisor in The Netherlands. He continued his work in Poland and, in 2005, started his job in Romania with PricewaterhouseCoopers. As PwC partner, Peter de Ruiter is responsible for the Tax and Legal Advisory practices. He is also managing the PwC CEE Tax Academy, an internal post-graduate master development program for 200 young professionals in the first years of their career with PwC in CEE.

The Chamber has announced that it will continue to work closely with the Dutch Embassy in Romania. Hans Smaling, Counselor for Economy and Trade, will represent the embassy as an advisor at the NRCC meetings.

This year, NRCC plans to continue to promote the interests of the business community it represents and foster the dialogue with the Romanian authorities and business community.

NRCC is a non-profit organization established in 2005 which represents more than 85 direct members and over 100 Dutch companies through the business associations in the Netherlands and Romania.
