Courier DPD launches eco-friendly service DPD Collect

DPD Romania has launched DPD Collect, an eco-friendly, fast and flexible solution for delivering and dispatching parcels, following an investment of EUR 1.2 million.

DPD Collect consists of a network of postal automata and offices located in commercial and office buildings, as well as in its own locations.

According to DPD representatives, the new service addresses all business segments (B2B, B2C) as well as individuals who want to ship parcels from door to door, fixed door or fixed point fixed point.

Among the novelties that the new service will make available to customers are: low cost, 24 hour delivery time, extended parcel availability (up to 5 business days) and flexibility in pickup and delivery. The company announces that DPD Collect is accessible to all customers by accessing the myDPD application, which offers the track & trace option online and the payment option

The service is available from September in over 50 locations in Bucharest, and by the end of the year the company expects to expand nationwide through a network of 100 DPD Collect points in the main Romanian cities.

”For postal automation locations, we chose both commercial and business spaces accessible to people on their daily route and a flexible schedule for picking up and dispatching parcels. Thus, the inhabitants of the cities where this service is active and who want to pick up or dispatch the parcel themselves can now do so, ”said Lucian Aldescu, DPD CEO.
