The Arad-Timisoara highway to be finalized next year

After setting a deadline for the completion of the Cernavoda-Constanta highway last week, transport minister Radu Berceanu announced on Saturday that the Arad Timisoara highway should be finalized approximately at the same time, in 2011.

The minister said the construction of the Arad-Nadlac motorway and the highway linking western Timisoara to central Sibiu will start next year, according to Mediafax newswire.

Berceanu added that a EUR 180 million contract to build the Deva-Orastie highway will be closed soon.
