Telemobil, which runs the Zapp telecommunication network in Romania, will start a voluntary leave program for its employees, aiming at improving its operational efficiency, the company has announced. Telemobil is offering its employees five monthly salaries and the equivalent of the unemployment benefits as financial compensation for the voluntary leave, six-month medical insurance, HR consultancy and six-month free access to Zapp services. The company expects 350 employees to join the program. In 2008, Telemobil has 800 employees. The firm was taken over by telecom operator Cosmote last year.
