TCE Holding, specialized in transportation services, has reported an increase of 10 percent on the volume of transported goods in the first half of 2011 compared to the similar period of 2010.

“This situation is generated by the 7 percent increase in the customer base, but also due to the implementation of new business lines such as TCE Worldwide or the postal service”, said Sorin Sofian, CEO TCE Holding.

The local economic landscape of the last two years highlighted the most important routes and areas of Romania. Bucharest has remained the leader, generating 30 percent of the volume, while Cluj was second with 10 percent of the business volume. Timisora ranked 3rd with 7 percent.

Sofian added that the transportation company is currently using two major hubs in Bucharest and Brasov, while additional mini-hubs are operated in Bacau and Cluj.

TCE Holding reported a net turnover of EUR 4.9 million in the first trimester of 2011. The holding is structured in 8 lines of business, ranging from fast courier services and international transportation to depositing or merchandising.
