Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) co-chair Calin-Popescu Tariceanu stated that the PSD-ALDE government will support Romanian capital.
According to Tariceanu, multinational companies are receiving a lot of advantages. He said he talked to his Social Democratic Party (PSD) colleagues to “end the narrative with state support provided exclusively to foreign companies, that of contracts for public acquisitions awarded in large numbers to foreign companies only.”
“Multinational companies are interested in using Romania’s advantages – the market, labour market – and to bring their profit to the mother-company. I believe that here there must be a win-win game: if we offered advantages, we must also receive something in return, to have a certain balance. And if I look at it, very many multinationals are receiving a lot of advantages, they were treated with a lot of generosity and they did not do more than exploit the cheap labour in Romania,” Tariceanu said.
“After all, the effort of Romanian economy rests on the shoulders of Romanian companies that did not enjoy advantages,” ALDE co-chair said.
