Swiss Ameropa Group, the owner of Azomure, prepares to acquire the Saruleşsti base from Comcereal Fundulea, company controlled by Constantin Dumitru, in a deal estimated of around EUR 3-4 million.
The base includes a total land area of almost 86,000 sqm, warehouses, silos, dwellings and offices.
Ameropa, one of the largest grain traders and chemical fertilizer manufacturers in Romania, also holds silos and warehouses in Olt, Constanta, Braila, Iasi, Tulcea, Ialomita, Calarasi, Teleorman and Timis.
The Swiss company owns, as well, Azomures fertilizer plant and port operator Chimpex Constanta, with a capacity of 350,000 tons.
Ameropa is a family business, founded in 1948, present in 28 countries at global level.
Recently, Ameropa has taken over 40 percent of Promat Comimpex and Agroind Cauaceu.
Comcereal Fundulea had a turnover of RON 65.5 million and a net profit of RON 1.4 million, last year.
