Better Brands, one of the Subway’s franchisees, has opened a new unit in Bucharest, following an investment of over EUR 120,000, reaching 37 units in Romania, while two more will be opened until the end of the year.
With the new restaurant, Better Brands reached an investment close to EUR half a million in Subway concept.
The plans of the company also focus on the investments continuation on office or home delivery and catering.
„We are in negotiations with many locations, there can be one two openings until the end of the year. We aim for cities with over 50,000 citizens and then we’ll expand in small cities,” said John Marino, the CEO of Better Brands and board president of National Subway FAF in Romania.
He says that the cities of interest for the new locations are Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara.
Marino says that from the moment of location choice and until the negotiations are finished, a restaurant is opened in 45-60 days.
A Subway unit in Romania generates revenues of RON 1-2 million/year.
Marino concludes that 2017 “is an exceptional year for Subway Romania”.
