Stefan Ivan (dcs plus): The hardest people to find are the specialists in the PHP technology

In May 2015, dcs plus, one of the key global travel tech players ended the first round of investment from Earlybird, a big European venture capital, allowing it to invest in new products.

Business Review met with Stefan Ivan, HR Specialist dcs plus, to talk about the company’s recruitment plans and the features of the local IT market.

What are the specialties where it is harder to find the right candidate and why?

Due to the fact that the market is pretty limited and the talents are targeted by many companies (nationally and internationally), the hardest people to find are the specialists in the PHP technology.

Is Romania really a pool for IT specialists, in your opinion?

I strongly agree with that statement. Romania is known and appreciated for the pool of specialists in the tech information sector. During the years, the Romanian specialists have been dearly recognized and value for their professional background and also for the valuable contributions they brought to the companies were they activate.

What are the positions the company is recruiting for?

At this moment we are searching for specialists for the following positions: Senior PHP Developers; Senior Software Architects; Front End Developers; Sales Representatives; Helpdesk Analysts; Junior Marketing Analyst. Moreover, we are also offering a paid internship with the specialty in software development, dedicated to the young students in the last year and / or to the fresh graduates specialized in the IT industry (Software).

How should the dcs plus candidate look like?

We are looking for someone whom through its abilities be able to bring a plus to the projects he is involved in. dcs offers o series of advantages and conditions that will help him create the daily medium he needs in order to have a sustained performance.

How is the young generation?

The young generation has a high intelligence quotient and a personality, most of the times, very strong. When it comes to the activity during the University time, they have acquired a greater deal of technical information that, sometimes, proves to be irrelevant compared to the practical experience that most of the time they lack. Their abilities aren’t explored and developed enough, at least, during the years spent in the University and there is a difference between what they can offer and the needs of a company looking to recruit them. Therefore, there is a great deal of need for good, applied internships, as well as a good understanding of the each other’s correct needs.

How many employees does dcs plus have at the moment and what are its plans by the end of the year?

We have around 55 employees and considering the rapid growth of the business we are anticipating a fast, accelerated growth of the personal as well.
