Adrenallina Sports PR & more, the first PR agency in Romania dedicated to sports communication, organized on Wednesday, October 12, the first edition of Sports Marketing in Romania Conference.

The event brought together the companies in Romania that invest in sport or associate with sport, the associations/federations/NGOs that develop activities in sports area, as well as professional athletes, such as Marian Dragulescu, Ana Maria Popescu (Branza) and Zsolt Torok.

One of the main conclusion was that in the corporate environment, within the companies that invest in sport or associate with sport values, there’s one or more management representatives who practice sports or have an athletic background.

Regarding the mass sports, there are good news: more and more Romanians are starting to practice sports.

“The conclusions showed that the market need more competent sports marketing and communication specialists in federations and sports industries. Furthermore, the companies present in the Romanian market are not really aware of all the benefits that come with association with sports/ professional athlets or the values inspirited by sport: force, performance, going beyond your limits, excellence, fairplay. Also, let’s not forget that change starts from each one of us and we can all contribute, each in its own area of expertise, to bring the sport back to the stage, where it belongs,” said Roxana Lupu from Adrenallina, Sports PR & more.

Ana Maria Popescu (Branza) said “The biggest problem is communication. What we know best to do is sports. We bring the medals, but what do we do then, with them? Selling, promoting the sport should not be a sportsman’s job. Our team won the gold medal (at Rio 2016 Olympic Games), but what next? Have you heard anything else about it after the Olympic Games?”
