The chain of fast-food restaurants Spartan has recently reopened the unit in Mega Mall Bucharest, after EUR 110,000 investment.  In 2018, the company planned national openings in all cities where there is not yet any Spartan brand: Sibiu, Oradea, Bistrita, Satu Mare, Roman.

In the first three days of Mega Mall inauguration, there were sales of around EUR 10,200 and a traffic of 1,679 customers. Spartan representatives aim to increase sales by about 40% in the second semester (S2) in 2018 compared to the same period in 2017.

We have great plans for this unit, and I think that in order to succeed, it is very important to respect the principles of the franchise. The experience I have accumulated over the two years since I took care of the Spartan restaurant in Cora Pantelimon, I think it will help me greatly to bring this unit where we want in terms of profitability in the shortest time, ” said Răzvan Nanus, general manager of Rerum Food, a company through which he obtained the Spartan franchise and opened the unit in partnership with entrepreneur Dragos Safta.

The restaurant occupies an area of 60 sqm.

”In addition to all the major shopping centers, we want to expand ourselves to street units in Bucharest. From a profit point of view, in a city that has the characteristics of Bucharest, we can open up to 20 to 25 restaurants, but we still have it. We plan to inaugurate the first street restaurant in about a year, and now we are very much focused on choosing the best area, “said Stephen Mandachi, CEO of Strong MND S.R.L., the Spartan franchise company.

Spartan recorded a group turnover, from own and franchised restaurants with a 24 percent increase compared to S1 2017 and a EUR 20 million in 2017.

The restaurant chain was founded in 2012 and has 39 restaurants, of which 15 are own restaurants and another 24 are in a franchise system, opened in the capital and in 22 cities in the country: Suceava, Alba Iulia, Arad, Braşov, Iasi, Cluj, Timisoara, Botosani, Galati, Braila, Focsani, Targu-Jiu, Craiova, Pitesti, Turnu-Severin, Deva, Ramnicu Valcea, Baia Mare, Piatra Neamt, Constanta, Bacau and Bistrita.
