SACE, the financial and insurance group controlled by the Italian Economy and Finance Minister, has opened an office in Bucharest. The office, which will be run by Speranta Tirsar, will work as a regional center for Central and Easter European countries, where the group expects to strengthen its role of facilitator of Italian and Romanian businesses. Countries coordinated from Romania will be Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania and Kosovo. SACE Group provides a wide range of insurance and financial products and services for companies as well as for banks.
“The SACE portfolio in Romania stands at EUR 280 million, and we are currently working on projects worth EUR 215 million. Our presence in Bucharest is setting the stage for other commitments of the SACE group in Central and Eastern Europe, where Romania has a strategic position,” explained Michal Ron, Network and International Relations director with the group.
