The total amount of outstanding loans in RON of population and companies, recorded in June 2017, amounts to RON 5,769 billion, down 5.27 percent compared to the amount reported in May 2017, and debts on foreign currency loans have decreased 2.7 percent to RON 6,683 billion (equivalent), according to a report by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
Total RON loans reached RON 136.7 billion (2.47 percent more than in the previous month), of which RON 59,67 billion were contracted by economic agents and 72,7 billion lei loans conducted by the population.
Foreign currency loans totaled RON 92.949 billion equivalent in June 2017 (1.35 percent less than in May 2017), of which 46.17 billion lei were borrowed by economic agents and 43.97 billion lei were taken by the population.
At the end of June, Bucharest had outstanding RON loans of 1,76 billion lei and in foreign currency of RON 2,86 billion.
The total loans in RON contracted in the capital reached RON 48,828 billion and the foreign currency loans to RON 44,403 billion.
